Morning followers.

It looks like the pesky rain has finally decided to give us a break. We will be back tomorrow morning doing what we are used to doing, grooming your yard. It's been close to 3 weeks since we were able to get any yards done. Yes, it hasn't rained the whole time, but we didn't get enough dry days in between the rain to be able to come by.
I will be messaging everyone from today with my schedule for when we are due to come by. I would appreciate it if you can reply to the message in a timely manner as we do have a large number of clients to catch up on.

Hi there followers

Right at the moment, we can't catch a break with the weather...... Looks like the rest of this week is another wash out..... But we will keep a close eye on things. I will send out messages for the next few days, but please bear in mind that we might have to reschedule the rescheduled schedule. Once the weather sorts itself out, we will get your yards looking schmick again.
This picture was taken this morning on our way to the yard to prepare for a day of toil..... But old Huey upstairs had a different idea :-(

Hi ho folk,

We have copped a flogging over the past week with the rain, and more forecasted for tomorrow Tuesday 19/05/26.
Unfortunately we have not been able to attend to your yards, and it doesn't look like we will get back into it until next week due to the ground being extremely saturated. Check out the link from one of the weather pages I follow up of how much rain has actually fallen in the past 2 days..... It's actually an eye watering amount.

I will be working on the schedule over the next few days and will be messaging you all with our amended visit dates.

Once again, I have to remind everyone that there's 3 things that will hinder our visits
1. Equipment breakdowns
2. Illness affecting the team
3. The weather
These things we have no control over.

I haven't forgotten about you all, it is just a difficult time. We will get stuck in and get your yards back looking schmick again.

The current weather is once again playing havoc with my scheduling, especially when I have just gone to 4 weekly mows. Please bear with me to try and reschedule our next visit, especially when the weather doesn't look great for the next 7-10 days.

I trust that you understand why we aren't able to come by and groom your yards.

Once the weather settles, we will try our best to get to you in a timely manner.

Morning folks,

Well it's been over 2 weeks since I last posted on here and thought it was time to enlighten you all. I have been knocked down with a bout of the flu that doesn't want to leave my body ....... I haven't been this crook for a very long time. I still have a cough and a bit of a runny nose but the worst part is not having my old energy levels :-( . Looking back to this time last year in the growing season I was knocked down with flu like symptoms as well.
Anyways, I am going to sort out our schedule today for the upcoming 2 weeks and will be messaging you all with our next planned visit for us to come by and groom your yard.
There's still a few winter jobs that we can take care of if you don't realise that we can tackle, don't be afraid to ask. I can do pressure washing of your concrete surfaces and also do any hedge reduction or taming ( to a certain point ), shrub or tree pruning and green waste removal. Please reach out if you require any of the above services to be provided and I will give you an honest quote.
The 2 pictures are of a job we undertook with the pressure washer recently, before and after.

Well folks, the cooler nights and also the Easterly Winds we've had for the past two or three weeks has certainly knocked the growth of the grass on the head. At the end of this week I will be reverting to 4 weekly mows. So if we came by last week, we will be scheduled to come by in 3 weeks time ( Week beginning 11/05/2026 ) I will be sending each and all of clients when we are due to come by next.
If you feel that your yard is still needing a 2 weekly mow, please get hold of me ASAP as I am looking to book some time away to fully recharge / reset.

I also would like to thank all of you for the continued support that you have given me and my business.

Well it looks like winter is coming by a bit more rapidly, the days are certainly becoming shorter. About 2 weeks ago the sun wasn't going to bed until a bit after 6.00pm and we were getting home in daylight, tonight it was getting ready at around 5.35pm and we were still 20 minutes away from getting home.... Check out the pictures I snapped this evening.
Overnight temps are dropping and some of the yards are slowing down growing. If you feel that your yard doesn't need mowing when I message you to advise our next visit, please speak out and I will reschedule our next visit. I would rather this than turning up to find your yard doesn't require a service, wasting precious diesel ( currently sitting on $3.299 per litre, but a couple of servos are at $3.349 this afternoon)

Morning folks, this isn't an April Fools Day post, just an honest and down to earth request.

As you are all aware, I have emailed all my current clients advising that I will be implementing a Fuel Surcharge from next Tuesday and in the email I asked if that was acceptable and to reply to the email. So far I have had approximately 90% reply. By asking you to reply is giving you the opportunity to either accept the surcharge or decline my proposal.
I try to get my routes sorted out a week or two prior to our next visit, and with the current climate of excessive fuel prices, I need to cluster our daily route to minimise the travel ( fuel consumption in the van ) each day. Once I have organised my schedule I will either email, SMS / text or send a message through Messenger with the day and an approximate time, to these messages I would appreciate it if you can reply ASAP if you want us to come by or not.
As you all appreciate that I have a good pricing structure - working on slim margins - and need your help responding in a timely manner to enable me to continue with providing you with a great service.

Communication is the key to success. If I don't hear back from you, I might just have to fill your slot with another yard and we will be back next cycle.

If you don't want to be missed each cycle, please respond in a timely manner.

Happy Sunday folks. I have this morning sent out an email to current clients with the proposed fuel surcharge to be applied to invoices moving forward.
Check out the screenshots of Petrol Spy for diesel prices this morning, then compare the screenshots from a couple of days ago...... These price increases ( In my opinion ) are not justified, only pure greed from the Oil companies, that are crippling this country and not one politician ( nor government department ) will take a stand against the Oil companies for this rort, probably because they are comfortable receiving the added revenue from GST......

Anyways, I will just have to take the cards being dealt on a daily.
