One of the biggest mistakes homeowners make? Ignoring dead branches because the rest of the tree “looks fine”.

We see this all the time. A tree can look healthy from a distance, but have large dead limbs hiding up high. The problem is, dead branches become dry and brittle and can fall without much warning… especially during strong winds or storms.

It’s worth taking a few minutes every now and then to look up at your trees. Are there branches with no leaves while the rest of the tree is thriving? Is there bark peeling off, cracking, or branches that look dry and lifeless?

Catching these signs early can prevent damage to your home, car, fence, or even someone getting hurt.

The good news is you don’t always need to remove the whole tree. Often, a simple deadwood removal or professional prune can make the tree much safer and help it continue to thrive.
