⚡ Unlicensed electrical work blitz! ⚡

Since April 2020, we’ve been cracking down on unlicensed electrical work advertised through online platforms like AirTasker, HIpages, Gumtree, OneFlare, TaskRabbit and Facebook.

There are lots of rogue operators out there, but we‘re onto them. Here’s some of our wins so far!
⚠ Audited more than 60 people offering electrical work through adverts
⚠ 20 infringement notices issued
⚠ 120 improvement notices issued
⚠ 2 search warrants sought and issued with vital evidence seized
⚠ A court injunction against SERVICE2GO Pty Ltd for failing to comply with improvement notices issued for unlicensed electrical contracting
⚠ 11 electrical safety protection notices issued
⚠ 6 cases reviewed by the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor
⚠ 2 cases referred to the Electrical Licensing Committee
⚠ 1 case referred to ESO for investigation
⚠ 5 matters are still under investigation.
