Three-way bathroom conversion walk-through

This renovation involved converting a traditional three-way bathroom into one large, open wet space, completely transforming how the room looks and functions.

While opening up a bathroom can create a huge sense of space, it’s not always as simple as removing a few walls. Some of the key things we assess before recommending this type of layout include:

• Is the wall load-bearing?
• Does the home have a second usable toilet?
• How much plumbing relocation is required?
• Will windows or doors need to be altered?
• Can we improve natural light and flow?
• Is the client prioritising space, storage, a larger shower, or a bath?

Every home is different, which is why good design starts with understanding how the space will actually be used.

For these clients, opening everything up created a much more functional bathroom while making the room feel significantly larger than before.

And yes… before anyone mentions it, my microphone was switched off during filming 🤦‍♂️ so the audio isn’t quite as crisp as it should be. Still wanted to share the transformation because this one was too good not to.

Glenbrook Bathroom Renovation - Walkthrough

A few of the layout decisions and design details that completely changed how this space functions.

When planning a renovation, it’s often the small things that make the biggest difference - storage, lighting placement, and making sure the layout actually works for everyday use.

During this build we also ran into an unexpected issue that needed to be solved on the fly, something that happens from time to time in renovations - but having the right systems and experience means we can adapt quickly and keep the project moving.

This one turned out beautifully and the new space feels completely different to what was there before.

Glenbrook transformation.

This home originally had a clunky two-way bathroom with a separate toilet and awkward hallway that made the whole space feel tight and disconnected.

By completely reworking the layout, we opened everything up into one cohesive bathroom that feels far more spacious and functional.

The bath was removed to prioritise flow, allowing us to introduce a clean wall-to-wall ledge running behind the shower, vanity and in-wall cistern toilet. The mitred tile edges give the space a seamless look while the LED strip lighting and feature wall lights add a warm layer of lighting in the evenings.

Stanton Bathrooms is growing — and we’re on the hunt for a skilled, hands-on carpenter to join our team. You’ll be working directly alongside our director, helping deliver high-end bathroom/laundry renovations with an eye for quality and detail.

This isn’t your average site role — we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow into a lead position over time, managing sites, subs, and apprentices as we expand.
✅ Full-time role ($90k–$110k + fuel)
