Here’s a job from a few months ago 👇

I was asked to repaint a Triumph Speed Triple in Cosmic Yellow — a rare, three-stage pearl colour. Triumph only released a small number of Speed Triples in this colour in Australia, and the paint itself isn’t available locally. I had to source the colour from overseas because no manufacturer here carries it or even has the formula.

Definitely not a cheap colour to work with, but the end result was absolutely worth it.
No true “before” shots since the parts were supplied loose, but here are some in-progress photos and the final finish.

One of the more unique colour jobs I’ve done, and it came up great. 👍

Just finished a Circus Voltaire playfield rescue for a great repeat customer.
This one was far from a standard clear coat job — someone had previously done DIY repairs, cleared over existing inserts and protector layers, and the playfield had issues like flaking clear, poor adhesion, lifting inserts and extremely thick “jammy” clear.

Normally I don’t take on jobs like this because the results can vary, but I made an exception for this customer. It ended up taking 2–3 times longer than a normal clear, but the end result is miles better than what it came in as.

I’ve put together a video showing the various stages:
✔️ Prep
✔️ Touch-ups
✔️ Repairs
✔️ Fresh clear coat
✔️ Post-clear outcomes
✔️ Final finish

I don’t film the actual sanding or buffing, but you can clearly see the before and after of each stage and how much work went into saving this playfield.

Huge job — but satisfying to see it brought back to life.
Always good to help out a loyal customer.

🎸 Elvis Has Entered the Playfield! 🎸

This one was brand new, but the owner wasn’t happy with the factory clear coat, so it came to me.

After careful prep, multiple layers of sanding and clearing and a final polish, the result is a flawless mirror-gloss finish worthy of The King himself. 👑

No job too small — whether it’s bringing life back to a classic or perfecting a new one, I make sure every playfield leaves the bench ready to shine under the lights.

✨ Fresh Off the Bench! ✨

This playfield came in looking tired, dirty, and heavily worn, but after a careful clean-up, sanding, some minor airbrush touch-ups and repairs, and multiple clear coats, it’s now transformed into a stunning, ultra-clean, mirror-gloss finish.

No job too small, sometimes all it takes is patience, precision, and a few coats of care to bring a classic back to life.

These two Gottlieb aprons came in rusty and worn. I stripped them back inside and out, then refinished them in a Red Fire Pearl with multiple coats of 2-pack automotive clear.

Hi all, just wrapped up a Revenge From Mars playfield partial restoration

This one involved touch-ups, airbrushing, repair work, custom overlays, line work, and a full clearcoat.

The transformation really speaks for itself (I hope! 😅)

🚀 Captain Scarlet Custom Playfield – From Gothic Horror to Retro Sci-Fi! 🎨
Just finished this full custom re-theme of a Bram Stoker’s Dracula playfield—now transformed into the world of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, the cult British sci-fi series from the creators of Thunderbirds.

This was a special collaboration with UK graphic artist Holly, who helped re-imagine the dark, moody Dracula design into something bold, clean, and retro-futuristic.

🔧 What went into it:
✔️ Stripped back to bare wood
✔️ Digitally restored and re-themed artwork
✔️ Multiple coats of 2PAC clear
✔️ Sanded between each layer for a glass-smooth finish
✔️ Cut, buffed, and polished to a high-gloss shine

The customer is even rewriting the rules and electronics, so I can’t wait to see this custom machine come to life!

1978 Sinbad Playfield & Apron Restorations! ✨

Another classic brought back to life! This 1978 Sinbad pinball playfield was taken back to bare wood, repaired, and fully restored to its former glory. Along with that, I also restored two aprons, giving them a fresh new look.

Just wrapped up restoring the Bally Top Card! I stripped it down to bare wood and tackled issues like flaking wood, cupped and yellowed inserts, and those pesky star inserts. Plus, at the owner's request, I added a colour-changing glitter effect. It’s subtle on camera, but you can catch a glimpse of the sparkle in the videos. Check them out!
