The Flow Hive is a revolutionary honey extraction system that is easier on the beekeeper and gentler on the bees. Since our launch in 2015, the Australian-made Flow Hive has inspired tens of thousands of new beekeepers around the world, with over 80,000 hives now flowing in 130 countries. As a certified B Corp, we're committed to doing business in a regenerative, ethical and sustainable manner, wh

ilst also generating a positive impact for pollinators and communities through our research and impact projects. We provide quality beekeeping education, showcasing the world's bee experts through the online education platform TheBeekeeper.org. This initiative supports new beekeepers to become responsible stewards of their bees while raising funds to protect pollinators. We're all about innovation... but it's more important than just harvesting honey in a gentle way. We're passionate about creating community, educating people about the importance of bees, and empowering beekeepers to make a positive change to help protect these important pollinators.

Bee colonies have their own built-in air conditioning πŸβ„οΈ

On hot days, you might spot bees gathered at the hive entrance fanning their wings. This helps keep the hive cool, improves airflow, and even helps turn fresh nectar into honey 🍯✨

Tiny wings, big teamwork πŸ’›

A little hive care goes a long way 🐝✨

To keep your Flow Hive looking beautiful and lasting for years to come, all Araucaria and ThermoGrade Paulownia Hives & Supers should be sealed with at least 2 coats of good-quality exterior house paint. πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈπŸŒ§οΈ

Hive painting tips & tricks 🎨🐝

✨ Assemble first - leave fittings, latches & k***s off to make painting easier.

✨ Start with a base coat - a simple background colour helps your artwork pop. We recommend using a low/non-toxic exterior paint for happy, healthy bees.

✨ Paint at least 2 coats to properly weatherproof your hive, allowing each coat to dry fully in between.

✨ Don’t skip the windows & rear latch covers! Painting both sides helps prevent warping over time. Just go easy on the edges so everything still fits smoothly.

✨ Then comes the fun part… get creative 🌼🌈 Sample paint pots are perfect for adding colour and personality to your hive.

✨ Once finished, allow the hive to fully dry and air out for a few days before your bees move in.

Then it’s time to welcome your colony into their beautiful new home πŸ’›
