When the client first approached me, they weren’t even sure this project was possible. The vision was for the deck to resemble a jetty alongside their yacht. What makes this even more special is that this very yacht has travelled around the world — literally. Being trusted to bring this idea to life and give the space a whole new purpose was an absolute pleasure.

This custom deck was built using recycled Merbau decking, paired with solid Merbau posts and handrails, a 190 x 45 mm H3 structural frame, and stainless-steel wire balustrading — all locally sourced from Achesons Mitre 10 (excluding the recycled boards).
