FLORENCE // Last Friday Richard and I had the privilege of attending the luncheon.

was the guest speaker - Julie first stole the hearts in 2009 winning

The way Julie spoke about her life, her struggles, her mental health and finding herself again touched everyone in the room.

There were moments that made you smile, moments that hit hard because either yourself or someone you know had gone through something similar and moments that reminded you how important it is to be kind to ourselves and each other.

Thank you for another great event and we look forward to the next luncheon in August.

ACCOYA // Timber like this isn’t just about the look, it’s also one of the more sustainable options you can use in a build. Wood naturally stores carbon and with that carbon is locked in for even longer thanks to its durability and lifespan.

Compared to materials like aluminium or PVC, it’s a much lower carbon option and being soured from fast growing, certified timber, it’s a more responsible way to build without compromising on performance.

International Women’s Day

Shamrock Joinery exists today because of my mum, but also because of the incredible people who believed in her and helped build the business alongside her.
What started with her vision and determination has grown into something much bigger than one person,
watching her lead the business over the years had a huge influence on me and the way I approach leadership today. She always believed in the people around her and built a team that genuinely cared about the business and each other.

Today, as a Director of Shamrock alongside my partners Brendon and Richard, I feel incredibly grateful to continue what she started.

Construction and joinery are often described as male-dominated industries, but my experience has been that this industry is full of people who genuinely support each other and want to see others succeed.

I’m also really proud that at Shamrock we have many incredible women across our team who contribute to the business every single day. Their knowledge, commitment and perspective help shape who we are as a company.

Sharing a little of my story with Florence magazine was a really special moment, because it highlighted not just the journey of our business, but the women behind it.

To the women working in construction, running businesses, leading teams or contributing behind the scenes it’s inspiring to see more women continuing to grow and shape industries like ours.
