The question I get asked more than any other.
“We have a builder. Why do we need you on site?”
The answer is actually simple.

By the time your builder breaks ground, your architect has already lived with your project. Every slope, every level change, every detail that could go wrong on site -we’ve already worked through it on paper.

We’re not there to slow things down or create conflict. We’re there to make sure what gets built is actually what was designed. And when issues come up. Because they always do -we’re the person who already has the answer.

They had a generous block in Somerville and a backyard they walked past every day without stopping. ⁣

We designed three connected outdoor zones: a covered pergola off the kitchen, a pool with paving , and the Alfresco courtyard linking both so the space finally matched the rest of the home.⁣
Now it’s the most-used part of the house.⁣
