This is the place where I was first overcome with wonder and awe of nature. I was so lucky to have this as my back yard growing up, and to be able to wandered and explore such beautiful places as a child. Such a joy to be able to visit it agin while the bluebells are in flower nearly 30 years later.

I didn’t consider myself a rose lover until I started working in this stunning garden. Despite being pricked and scratched so many times, the sheer beauty and subtle and gentle scent, to strong perfume has won me over.
But the biggest joy has been getting to know the owner of this garden who has gladly shared their passion and knowledge of roses with me. (And they have over 300 in their garden) A privilege and joy to work in this garden ❤️

1️⃣Summer: reducing long whips to 7-8 leaves / buds.
2️⃣Winter: cutting stems back to just 2-3 buds to promote good flowering.
