Finally, Songs That Lost Their Voice 「失語之歌」 is coming to an end.

Thank you to everyone who came to the opening, and not only visited, but truly participated in the work. Your presence and support have meant so much to me.

This is one of those rare works that leaves me feeling proud, happy, and content. What a blessing, and a beautiful way to begin the Year of the 🐎🧧❤️

Feeling very grateful to journalist Winnie Wong from SBS Cantonese Broadcast for joining the opening of “Echoes of The Firecracker” and interviewing me about my work “Songs That Lost Their Voice” 「無語之歌」.

It was such a meaningful conversation, and I truly appreciate the care and insight she brought in sharing the story behind the work. The exhibition runs until 1 March, and I’ll be around most of the day on Sunday 22 February — would love to see you there, come say hi! 🤝🙌🧧

Happy New Year of the Horse 🔥🐎

Wishing you all good health 健康, happiness 快樂, peace 平安, and contentment 幸福 🍀🧧

This year, I found myself buying flowers for the New Year — something I haven’t done for a long time.Perhaps it’s a quiet sign that I’m allowing myself to hope, to expect, and to welcome what is coming. 🍀♥️

“Echoes of the Firecrackers”
An exhibition curated by Willoughby City Council to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse 🔥🐎

The opening last Thursday night was such a joyful way to welcome the New Year! Honesity, it couldn’t have felt more right.

I was really happy with my performance on the night, sharing our New Year customs, bringing the festive spirit into the space, and giving out the best wishes I wrote and painted—good health 健康, peace 平安, contentment 幸福, and happiness 快樂 🧧🧧🧧🧧

Thank you to everyone who was there celebrating with us—it meant a lot ♥️

The exhibition runs until 1 March. Hope to see some of you there, singing along with my work “Songs That Lost Their Voices” 🎤🎶

“Songs That Lost Their Voice” is an interactive installation using karaoke and Cantonese pop to reflect on language loss, silenced voices, and diasporic experience.
The work considers how voices can be softened, marginalised, or silenced by social and political structures.

It’s staring tomorrow at Art Space on The Concourse. A Lunar New Year exhibition “Echoes of the Firecracker” curated by Willoughby Council I’m very excited to be part of it, what a way to start Year of The Horse 🔥🐎 🧧
