Are you ready for an exciting social adventure at South Bank?
Our NDIS Teens Social Adventure is happening on 10/02/24, and it's time to get ready! We're planning a day of fun, growth, and adventure. Here's a quick rundown of what you can expect from the day and what you'll need to bring along.
What Does the Day Involve?
The day kicks off with us meeting at the ferry terminal. From there, we'll catch a ferry into the heart of South Bank, immersing ourselves in the bustling city atmosphere. Once we arrive, the fun really begins! We'll engage in various activities, including swimming and enjoying a shared lunch together. It's not just about fun, though. We'll be working on several important goals throughout the day.
Some of the Goals We'll Work On
Firstly, we'll work on our public transport skills, navigating the ferry and understanding how to use it effectively. This is an important skill for independence and confidence. We'll also focus on improving our social skills, interacting with each other and the wider public in a respectful and confident manner. We'll also take the opportunity to try new foods during our shared lunch, expanding our horizons and learning to appreciate different tastes and cuisines.
What to Bring?
To make the most of the day, there are a few things you'll need to bring along. Make sure to pack your swimmers and a towel for the swimming activities. You'll also need a hat to protect yourself from the sun, and a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Lastly, don't forget your Go Card for the ferry ride. We're looking forward to a great day out and can't wait to see you there!
