There has been so much happening on and off the job site recently. It’s been a huge 2 weeks since our Easter break.

Firstly congratulations to my apprentice Scotty, he is now in his second year after starting out as a school based apprentice.

We have almost completed a full bathroom renovation @ Brassall, kitchen reno @ Raceview, started our Yamanto renovation. This job involves a new floor as the old timber tongue and groove boards were squeaky, building a new ensuite, covering the brickwork, removing windows in stairwell and completing the downstairs toilet/laundry/stairwell area.

An update on the Laidley renovation will be coming soon. Front stairs and handrail have been complete, shelving in the robes complete, cabinetry in ensuite, laundry and kitchen has been installed, stone tops measured and installed, tiling is underway and floor covering prep has been completed.

It’s been a huge start to 2026 for the team and myself. We have completed a full bathroom toilet reno at Flinders view. At the Laidley extension we have completed the brickwork, cladding, remodeled the transition from existing house to extension, framed the ceiling inside and on the patio, roughed in the electrical and plumbing and now have about 75% of the sheeting complete inside.

The rest of Feb will continue to be full steam ahead with a huge driveway pour, another renovation start, complete the sheeting and plastering at Laidley.

Deck refurb complete this week. Joists were rotted and handrails were aging. Laminated new joists beside all existing joists which makes this deck so much firmer to walk on. Changed the whole look of the house with the modern stainless steel wire handrails. All decks under 1000mm which means no regulations on the handrails as none are required. Owner opted for 5 strands to keep the view nice and open.
