Targeting a 5 Star Green Star outcome takes more than adding plants at the end of a fitout 🌿

At A W Edwards’ St Leonards headquarters, Tropical Plant Rentals worked alongside Gray Puksand, Rintoul and A W Edwards to integrate planting into custom joinery and support the project’s targeted 5 Star outcome under Green Star Interiors v1.3.

We assessed the low-light conditions, selected durable sculptural species and calculated the soil volumes required for long-term plant growth. Multiple site inspections allowed us to coordinate plant sizes, root systems and growth habits precisely with the cabinetry dimensions.

That planning meant our five-person specialist crew completed the installation in just four hours, well inside the two-day programme while protecting every finished surface.

Installation was only the beginning. We’re proud to have continued as A W Edwards’ plant partner for three years, providing ongoing monitoring and proactive horticultural care. Every original plant is still performing.

On this project, the plants had been ordered and were ready to install when the final custom joinery dimensions required an adjustment to the planned planting solution.
