Forty & Fabulous 📚🌿✨

This special cake for Helen’s 40th birthday was inspired by a few of her loves, getting lost in a good book, spending time surrounded family, friends & nature and of course some of her favourite colours.

This design was all about creating something personal, meaningful, memorable and uniquely “Helen.” 🤎💛 ‘ yes all those individual book pages were edible.

There’s something so special about bringing someone’s personality to life through cake design, and this one was an absolute joy to create.

PAY IT FORWARD 🩷🩵 THE CAKE DUET TURNS 11

To celebrate 11 years of The Cake Duet - Mawson Lakes SA. This week I randomly handed out some vanilla bean cookies to
* A couple making morning coffees
* A sweet lady pushing her suitcase down a busy street as it started to rain. (She wanted to hug me & said that made her day)
* A chiropractor, receptionist, EA that I had heard all had gone out of their way to help someone else.
* A DCP worker and some other randomly chosen people as I was walking in the city last week.

More will be randomly handed this week as I am out and about.

PAY IT FORWARD 🩷🩵 THE CAKE DUET TURNS 11

To celebrate 11 years of The Cake Duet - Mawson Lakes SA, I wanted to do something a little different.

Over the coming 2 weeks, I’ll be randomly gifting 14 of my vanilla been cookies to people as a little “pay it forward” surprise to make them smile.

But there is also an opportunity for you to be part of it too and spread even more smiles.

For a $4 donation you can purchase a pay it forward cookie with a message that will be gifted to someone else.

You can either pickup and deliver to someone specific yourself or it will be added to my randomly delivered smile pile.

You may want to put a smile on the face of a healthcare worker, teacher, friend having a rough time, someone doing it tough, or simply someone random who could use a sweet surprise and a reason to smile 💕

Sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.

George is such a cutie and today he celebrated his 3rd birthday 🥳

Here are George’s cakes over the years.

I must say, I fell in love with his first birthday cake, it turned out even better than I had imagined but the photo I received of him with his cake on his 2nd birthday absolutely stole my heart 💛
