Today’s treatment combines Lawnies Soil Life and Lawnies Elite Complete to support both the soil and the plant. Incredible combination and can be applied together at the same time, effective and efficient!

The result is improved nutrient availability, stronger roots, better stress tolerance and a lawn that’s equipped to perform through changing seasons.

Can it be watered in? Absolutely.
Can it be left on the leaf for foliar absorption? Absolutely.

First application of Futuresoil.co Biochar and Clay Breaker at home today. Unfortunately, this section of lawn gets very little sun over winter and sitting on a thick layer of clay means even light rain can leave it wet for days - sometimes weeks. Last winter we lost around 80% of this section, and it took a pretty big toll on the overall lawn. The top dressing you can still see is what’s left from all the work trying to repair and revive it throughout spring and summer. This year I will applying clay breaker and biochar monthly, going into winter a lot more prepared and are determined to give it the best possible chance to stay healthy and survive!

Clay Breaker does exactly what the name suggests - it helps break down compacted clay soil, allowing water to pe*****te deeper and move more evenly through the soil profile. Resulting in stronger and deeper root growth, more oxygen reaching deeper into the soil and overall better performance from the plant. That’s exactly what this side of the house has been lacking.

Biochar is a carbon-rich soil amendment designed to improve the entire root zone. It helps the soil capture and retain moisture more effectively, boosts microbial activity, and improves nutrient efficiency throughout the profile.

I will be applying a combination of Future Soil products over my lawn and a few clients lawns over the next few months. Very keen to see how it can help lawns over the cooler periods - stay tuned for more updates.

You can absolutely go with the cheapest option, no one is going to stop you. But “available” and “worth it” should not be seen as the same thing.

Just like you can grab sushi from a servo, the cheapest lawn service often isn’t worth it either - blunt blades, rushed jobs, no long-term plan. It might look “done” today, but over time you’ll see the difference in lawn health, consistency, and overall presentation.

Good lawn care is about more than just cutting grass. It’s about understanding the turf, soil health, application timing, care techniques, matched with the right equipment and putting in the work behind the scenes so it actually improves - not just keeping long grass short.

Paying for quality isn’t about spending more for the sake of it - it’s about paying for it to be done properly.

⭐️ CRAFTED GREENS TURNS 1 ⭐️

Rewind to the 29th of Jan, 2025, working for a franchise in Nelson Bay, I received a phone call with the opportunity to purchase an existing run off another contractor that was leaving the area. It sparked a deeper level of wanting to push to go independent and be out on my own, with the freedom of being able to do what I wanted. My wonderful partner and I tossed up the idea for about a week before going heads down bums up and getting stuck into it - endless paper work, register for this, cancel that, design this, what colours that got to be, and before we knew it, the 3am late nights designing logos/colour schemes/brand vision, was all over and Crafted Greens was born. (Proper shout out to my partner for her logistical designs and general sense of what’s right and wrong… you don’t want to see what I thought looked good 😂)

A year on and feeling better than ever about the business we run, the clients we deal with and the growth we have been able to achieve.

To all that have been apart of the journey so far, from comments about what does and doesn’t work, from in depth conversations about equipment, to the long conversations about products and how they function, heck, even to the funny and slightly educational videos you guys post - thank you.

Here’s to the first year of truly “doing it for myself” and to the many more that are coming.

How’s this for a round about story!

I worked on this property early 2025, once sold, the new owners took over and I stopped my services. Fast forward to the end of the year, I see a post on a facebook group seeking advice on what’s happened to their lawn - so I messaged and said I once maintained the property and I would be happy to pop over and give some advice.

Ended up renovating their lawn, pics are step by step of how it went down.
