Azadi - Freedom

In 5 days time Pakistan will be celebrating its 74th Independence Day.

Freedom can mean lots of different things for different people. It doesn’t always have to be something deep or profound. It can be little things that you do and take for granted which might be huge for others.
For me it’s the freedom to spend all my free time learning and doing creative things like calligraphy, digital illustrations and trying out new food recipes.

I hate drawing guidelines...but they are a necessary evil.
Love using this Calligraphy Ruler by that I bought from (favourite calligraphy supplier btw). Although originally intended for drawing copperplate guidelines I end up using it for all my broad edge guidelines too!

Work Smart Not Hard
Well isn’t that a myth cz you’ve got to always work hard; that never really goes away.
I mean sure with time you get smart about it and know how to get things done quicker but that doesn’t mean you stop working hard.
When launched her Mural Painting for Designers scholarship I knew I had to apply for two reasons:
1) Isn’t that the next best thing if you’re doing lettering/calligraphy; to be able to move your work from an A4 piece of paper onto a huge wall!
2) Get to learn from a professional and soak up their experience because there is no substitute for that.

My dream project would be to be able to paint fun and inspirational quotes indoors in corporate buildings and offices cz my God can those places use some of that to brighten up the days for the people inside. Being in one of those buildings for my day job I know I would love to see something like that in my office space 😄

So if you’ve got a wall that you want spruced up hit me up and let’s get mural-ing 😊
