We are very excited to present a new video series that explores the intersection of art and architecture through the lens of artists, architects, designers & patrons.
The ideas and processes from art and artists are pivotal to many architect’s own explorative and abstract design practices. The series visits the working studios, galleries & houses of Australian artists, architects, designers & patrons and investigates ideas and influences from art & architecture that intersect within their own practice.
In the series Fiona leads conversations through the personal spaces and working studios of each guest to talk over works, the built environments and processes that each guest undertakes and practices in. The conversations expand the understanding of Australia’s diverse art, architecture and design culture and how this contributes to Australia’s contemporary cultural identity.
In this episode Fiona talks to designer Christopher Boots, who designs & makes exquisite lights, installations and objects and switches his practice between artist and designer. Having provided works for some of the worlds leaders in fashion and architecture, Christopher’s work is original and timeless.
