It’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone who joined us for How Do You Drink Your Tea — our exhibition × oolong tea tasting. We’re so grateful for every visit, conversation, and shared cup of tea.

A huge thank you as well to our friends for the constant love and support. Dani and I (Marge) have just entered our 40s, and alongside our full-time jobs in IT and design, we’re still finding the courage to keep this passion project alive. Trying new things is always a little scary, but once an idea takes root, we can’t help giving it a good go.

I have a tendency to chase perfection and forget to fully enjoy the moment, but I’m incredibly lucky to have friends who remind me to relax, celebrate the journey and most importantly - have fun!

Partners in life and practice, Miki and Toyo share tradition through a playful, contemporary lens.

Miki’s ceramics often inspired by nature and her beloved chickens 🐓. Alongside her works, we’re presenting a limited selection of hand-dyed katazome coasters by Toyo, bringing centuries-old textile techniques into everyday life.

We’ll be brewing Taiwanese oolong tea in Kungfu style throughout the exhibition

If you’re curious about specialty tea and why Chinese teapots are so tiny, our oolong tea tasting session is a great place to start.

If you’d like a super beginner-focused session, drop us a message, we’re happy to open one if there’s interest.

We’ll be pouring with handmade teaware by Chinese artists, come see, smell, sip tea, learn, and hang out 🙃

We’re excited to announce that our upcoming exhibition, How Do You Drink Your Tea, will be held at Collingwood Yards in December.

We’ll be presenting Ricca Okano’s sculptural teawares, from large mugs to smaller cups. Her works are bold, colourful and each one is an artwork in itself. Look closely and you’ll find a mesmerising crystal-blue glaze at the base of each vessel.

We’ll also be brewing Taiwanese oolong tea during the exhibition, come see, smell, sip and reimagine the way we drink tea.

A glimpse into the mountains of Karuizawa, where ceramic artist Ricca Okano and her partner , a jewellery and object artist create together. Their shared gallery is a warm, light-filled space that beautifully reflects their relationship, two artists who grow alongside each other, inspiring and celebrating one another’s craft.

We’re excited to bring Ricca’s stunning new works to Melbourne this December. Her colourful, unique cups and mugs invite us to reimagine the way we drink tea.
