A beautiful pool area shouldn’t feel like you’re walking across hot coals. The secret is choosing the right trees, plants, and paving materials.

🌳 Best Shade Trees for Perth Pools
• Crepe Myrtle – Beautiful summer flowers with light, filtered shade and non-invasive roots.
• Water Gum – Evergreen, tidy, and excellent for poolside planting.
• Chinese Pistachio – Stunning autumn colour and broad shade (allow space away from the pool).
• Ornamental Pear – Great shape, seasonal interest, and good shade.

🌱 Heat-Tolerant Poolside Plants
• Lomandra
• Dianella (Flax Lily)
• Agave
• Kangaroo Paw
• Society Garlic
• Blue Fescue

These plants thrive in WA conditions and won’t create excessive leaf litter around your pool.
