At our stall you can:

🌱 Take home free native seedlings, from trees to grasses and groundcovers (we have at least 200–300 available)
🐦 Check out our hand-built habitat hollows (for sale)
🌳 Learn how to support native birds and wildlife at home
🍻 Grab a free stubby holder on us, because supporting biodiversity is more fun with a cold drink in hand.

Free mulch and habitat logs aren’t available for pickup at the market,
but you can request them through us, just ask at the stall.

Throwback to our first redwood removal! The Californian Redwood (Sequoia) is an incredible species, the tallest tree in the world, but this one didn’t have the space it needed to grow, planted next to a driveway in Kensington. Unfortunately, it had to come down. Always consider a tree’s mature size before planting!

During our Christmas break we had a chance to focus on some of our more rewarding projects, like creating habitat for native wildlife along the Darebin creek. In cooperation with Darebin Council and the Darebin Creek Management Committee we installed two hollows, one for possums, and one for sugar gliders. Thanks to Sofia at Darebin council and Danny from DCMC for making this happen.

Introducing Branch Out For Biodiversity!

We're excited to announce our in-house program dedicated to nurturing biodiversity in the community.

At the heart of this initiative is the belief that every small action can make a big difference. Through providing habitat logs, nesting boxes, and planting native shrubs, grasses, and trees, we aim to empower everyone to contribute to biodiversity conservation.

We're thrilled to announce that the first batch of hollow nesting logs is now ready, and we'll soon be installing them, hopefully in a tree near you!

These logs can be installed on the ground, in trees, or even on built structures. We customize each hollow to attract various species of nesting animals.
