We had a bountiful harvest this year. A late season beefsteak tomato and a 11.2 and 8.2 kilo watermelon. Some large watermelon and pumpkins still need to be picked.

Thanks to the 253 people who came to our open garden Sunday 1 March. Despite the forecasted thunderstorms, the weather was quite good with no rain in the morning and light rain in the afternoon. Clearly the attendees were really into gardening asking excellent questions. Kinda and I were touched by the kind compliments. It means a lot to us that you enjoyed our garden. I was too busy to film the day, but for those who couldn’t make it, I took this video today.

Turlatina Wirra will be participating in SA open gardens this year, the long weekend in January. Kinda and I are working hard to get everything in shape. Will post an update in January.
