A simple repair for a common problem. Trims like these were often attached using a nail gun and standard 90 mm framing nails. Over time, gravity wins and they fall off. Simple solution, some decent quality 100 mm screws. The trim will stay put now.đź‘Ť

Dusted off the welding skills, it’s been a few years since I worked with mild steel, mostly stainless these days.

Needed some super strong hinges for a big gate subject to strong winds from time to time.

Quick little fence repair. I like the good-neighbour fence system, however the system is a lot stronger if you put a 50 x 50 mm post between each section. Adds very little to the cost and makes the fence immeasurably stronger. This repair wouldn't have been needed, but at least I know it will last now, even with the gully winds.
