SYDNEY MODERN GIFT SHOP. A gift of a gift shop. A space within a space. A product that holds up products. A piece of the art gallery, that is a piece of art. A serene womb; for buying stuff. A diffuser of light and ideas. The amber resin wedges and sumptuous, see-through shelves give the books and trinkets a museum-like quality of importance. The long shadow of the memory of the architecture (/spaces) and the art (/objects) it contains. Urging you to give (from your pocket and intentions) so you can own your small part it (and perhaps feel like being a part of it) that you can take away with you.

Gaudi's Casa Mila know by locals as the 'stone quarry'. A idiosyncratic hand carved sculpture that still accommodates people in apartments as well as museum and restaurant. Gaudi had to take the Mila family to court to get paid. Hmmm some things never change... @ La Pedrera-Casa Milà

Gaudi's masterpiece. Truly a wonder of the world. So unique, bold, and awesome in the true sense of the word. A bucket list must. Amazing to see how decades of his life was dedicated to this project and the thanks of thousands that paid tribute at his funeral to thank him for his super human contribution. @ Basílica de la Sagrada Família
