The art is my saviour - My Story

All my life I have been fascinated by the lots of smiles within. My life that exists under the surface of our everyday and reality. I that seeks to capture in my paintings. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis not by choice, (1999) painting to me means so much to me, I have been painting since I was 13 years old.

Every painting starts as a leap of faith. I invite you my vision into my dining table that allows me it to unfold and expresses my own unique way. Sometimes I have a glimpse of where the paint brush will take me and other times I don’t. I simply allow the paint brush to flow across the canvas or paper with acrylics in a flowing soothing and organic way. I fall in love with each of my paintings and smile. It means I’m happy what in achieved in that particular painting. I can paint anything but I am not a portrait artist, I can do but I don’t want to stress, MS hates stress.

I consider myself a landscape painter, due to the fact I love painting and creating, colour blending is so important, but I don’t paint the landscape that I see. I paint the landscape that I had an experience in the past as I no longer can climb, swim in water, I cannot walk on sand and heat my multiple sclerosis dislikes, It is an instinctual process of creativity and expression within me. Each painting is a reference point for what I wishful thought of my experience in my life, just like keeping a diary. Painting I deeply miss when I no longer paint, it’s harder for me to express in writing but in my art I can show and tell a story.
