We recently had the pleasure of having our Gateway House feature as part of Coco Republic’s collaboration with LA furniture designers lawson-fenning.
Furnishing the home as part of their recent launch, their focus on craftsmanship and timeless design really hit a chord with us, pieces that will patina and build character is something we are always drawn to.

Introducing Peak Mojo // Perched on one of the steepest residential sites in Sydney, Peak Mojo is a project many would have dismissed as unbuildable. Compact, tightly constrained and defined by extreme topography, the site demanded a highly considered architectural response rather than compromise.

With DA approval secured, the project has moved into detailed construction documentation. Led by director Kurt Crisp we’ve explored the build in a mix of media to allow us to achieve a successful home . A robust, timeless material palette anchors the architecture to its setting, while the design exploits the site’s verticality, addressing the pragmatic use of materials and construction methods best suited to the site to create a home that feels inevitable rather than imposed.

Peak Mojo is an exploration of what becomes possible when constraint is treated as a design driver, not a limitation.

On a dense site, balance comes from restraint. Here, concrete is not just structure but sculpture—used to anchor the form, define space, and bring clarity to a complex brief.
We worked to rationalise alignments vertically as well as across each floor plate, allowing the architecture to feel grounded without feeling heavy or overbearing.
