What a lovely evening we had last Friday as we officially opened the Faces and Places exhibition featuring beautiful works by Febe Zylstra and Pamela Gough in our

Guests enjoyed hearing about the artists and vision behind the art. There are 21 pieces in this exhibition and we are so grateful for Febe and Pam’s amazing talent and hard work to bring this to our gallery.

You can view the pieces in gallery from now until the 26th June and we are open Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. You can also see and purchase the works on our website (link in our bio).

We were thrilled to have one of our projects featured in the recent Zonta Club of Toowoomba Garden City Grand Homes Tour.

The Rangeville Renovation project reimagines the existing home with a thoughtful balance of heritage charm and contemporary comfort. By embracing adaptive reuse, the project retains the character-defining elements of the original dwelling while introducing modern amenities that support today’s lifestyle.

Our Director Mike attended the Grand Designs Australia Magazine House of the Year awards last week.

We were thrilled to have our Long Pavilion project shortlisted in this year's awards, and while we didn't bring home the win, it was great to be in a room full of talented professionals and to see the incredible standard of architecture and design we have here in Australia.

Our Director Tess visited Sydney recently to attend the Design Awards for which our Quay Street Rockhampton project was shortlisted.

While we didn’t take home a gong this time it was great to see some beautiful projects featured and to catch up with our lovely Blum rep!

Tess also took time to visit suppliers and showrooms to check out the latest products in market, so we can always offer our clients the very best.

Last week we were delighted to sponsor and attend a special dinner with Australia's Cardinal, His Eminence Mykola Bychok CSsR. Interviewed by MC, Michael Crutcher, His Eminence spoke with a wonderful balance of humour, humility and honesty.

Proceeds from the evening are supporting the restoration of St Patrick’s Cathedral for the Diocese’s Centenary in 2029.

Feather & Lawry is proud to have been engaged for the Centennial Project. We look forward to working with Richard from Diametric Engineers who attended with us along with Peter Gardiner - AIA Queensland President & Liturgical Design Advisor/consultant.

Art was the final layer in the Quay Street story.

Once the materials, lighting and furniture were resolved, the curation of artwork became the element that brought personality fully into focus. Each piece was selected to sit comfortably within the strong, textural palette of the interior while adding depth, narrative and subtle contrast.

Rather than overpowering the space, the artwork works in dialogue with it. Tonal, layered and quietly confident. It softens edges, draws the eye and gives the rooms a lived in authenticity that cannot be achieved through finishes alone.

Art is never an afterthought in our projects. It is the finishing touch that completes the atmosphere and ensures a home feels not just designed, but personal.
