I had the chance to make a lovely wedding cake for last weekend. One layer was a gluten free, vegan carrot cake, a first for me, and from the trial run beforehand everyone who tried it loved it! Vegan "buttercream" was used to decorate the whole cake to keep it compliant.

Although not in Townsville anymore, I still continue to make cakes for family and friends when I get a chance. I'm uploading them here to keep a copy of them in one place :) This is from the last 3 years, not great pics, as they weren't intended for a business page, but a record all the same of what I've been up to.

**** LICENSED Kitchen FOR SALE **** We are moving town and so we are selling our newly built home in NorthShore, Townsville. It has a licensed kitchen from which I ran Cake Essence from. It also has its very own CAKE ROOM with storage, hand wash basin and air conditioning. So if any of you know of anyone wanting to set up a licensed food business from home let them know about our house ASAP. Private message me for details :)

Tomorrow I will have some gorgeous cupcakes ready for a photoshoot and then available for sale. So if you would like to buy some I will have 4x8 boxes of cupcakes- $25 per box. They will be in Coral and possibly Emerlad tones with flowers etc. Pictures will be up by tomorrow morning but if you want to pre order them comment below. :)

Here it is- The JCU medicine graduation cake. Made from 7 tiers of cake and everything is edible! One very heavy cake! Was a pleasure making this for the students again this year :) Congratulations to you all, your hard work has paid off! Enjoy the next step in our careers :)

Done!!! Ready to be assembled on site- will be about 60cm tall and ALL edible! Congrats to the JCU Medicine students!!! Pics will be up tomorrow.... Now into more medicine themed cupcakes and a wedding cake.

The finished cake from the Novelty Cake Decorating Course last month, it went to the Children's Ward at the hospital.

A twist on the regular style of wedding cake :) The bride and groom wanted to incorporate mini Dreamy Donuts in their wedding cake, but still wanting to have a cake and a topper. So this is what we ended up with! Yum!! With Dreamy Donuts closing down just before the big day I am sure it was a little stressful for the Bride and Groom, but they gave me instructions on how to make the donuts and it was all ok in the end :)
