Doing the farm duties after a well-needed bit of rain. It's been a pretty challenging 10 months without an autumn break for most farmers out there, including ourselves. Feeding what we can with what we've had and had to buy in. Just remember, if you haven't heard from your neighbour or farming mate, it might be a good time to drop in for a cuppa or a quick phone call, or just a chat over the fence. Probably should have had this one up a while ago! It was a pleasure working with Dave Green from Riverslea Ag Maffra on his cattle yard build plus farm layout. Dave put a lot of time and effort into mapping/planning yards, laneways, paddock layout, and irrigation system. To his credit, the farm looks amazing.

We have a small block at the foothills of Tyers that I'm passionate about. I enjoy experimenting with different crops and grazing techniques. We purchased the property in 2017 and it has been a challenging journey, but I've learned a lot along the way. I believe in leaving things better than when I found them. We've noticed significant improvements in pasture and soil conditions due to our grazing techniques and pasture renovation, as well as paddock set outs. Since moving to Tyers, we've had great neighbors who are always willing to help out and have extensive knowledge of the cattle industry.
