All fun & games, until the team hit the racecourse... Unsure how much bonding was done with this competitive lot

20/05/2026

Everyone wants the reward. Not everyone wants to do the work that earns it. We're looking for the people who understand the difference.

Wrong answers only... who hired this guy?

From 1961 to 2001, this crew spans four decades. The experience gap between our oldest and youngest is 40 years. What does not change is the expectation. One standard, whoever you are, whatever year you showed up. That is what building the best team in Australia actually looks like.

More than just fences

People often underestimate the fencing industry, when really, it is a lot bigger and more diverse than most people realise.

While many think of residential picket fences, the reality is that a huge portion of the work sits in the commercial space, from schools and construction sites through to defence projects and correctional facilities.

It’s a wide-reaching industry with one core purpose: controlling access and keeping spaces secure across all kinds of environments.

A good insight for anyone thinking about getting into the trade, there’s more opportunity here than meets the eye.

Team bonding… or full-blown competition?

A day off-site for a round of go-karts with the crew featuring plenty of laughs, a few questionable overtakes, and definitely some competitive energy coming out.

Let’s just say there may have been a few evil eyes back on site (and in the office) after this one… not sure it was all bonding.

No competition on site… apparently

The boys are all “team players” when they’re working. Calm, cooperative, very professional.

But get them in a go-kart and suddenly it’s race pace with elbows out...

Built with precision, designed for flow.

This modular wall install is all about the detail behind the finish. A spoon drain has been incorporated to capture runoff from neighbouring properties and direct it cleanly to the front sewer line

It’s the kind of groundwork you don’t see in the final product, but it’s what makes it perform for years to come

PROJECT ALERT: Botanica Stage 2

You might remember the Botanica project the team completed in 2025, and now we’re back for Stage 2.

This is shaping up to be one of the largest projects we’ve seen in 2026, with 1.2km of feature fencing going in across a complex, detailed landscape.

The design includes 25x25 dressed battens on the front face and 50x25 battens with an arris top edge, requiring a high level of precision throughout.

We’re currently at ~50% posts and rails installed, with button installation now underway. It’s a slow, technical build, with every batten individually cut to follow the natural form of the site.

Big project. Fine detail. High standards. Stay tuned for our next update...

One job, four install methods

James walks us through a challenging site with difficult access and constantly changing conditions, meaning no two sections of fence went in the same way.

From in-ground posts along the driveway to fixing into block retaining walls, core drilling into concrete slabs, and finishing with stirrups, the team adapted every step of the way to get it done right.

A 2100mm lapped fence, delivered as a tidy, high-quality finish despite a complex install. Just how we like it 🤝

Big stages, bigger opportunities

Jimmy talks us through a major new project at Deving Heights for stage two of Botanica, part of a massive 16-stage development.

Working alongside a Melbourne crew, it’s all about collaboration, getting stuck in, and keeping the job moving efficiently across a large-scale build.

His advice for anyone starting out? Back yourself early, get the basics, get involved, and start contributing from day one. Stay tuned for the final project reveal!
