Its come to the point that I will be cancelling this class. I will be back with more dates very soon so you can look forward to learning this beautiful artform in the coming months.

Exciting news!
Dates have now been set for the next beginner series. They are Saturday April 11th and Wednesday April 15th. It is a set of four classes, one a week, where you will cover pattern design, glass cutting, foiling, soldering and the finishing of one project. Each class is 3 hours and runs from 10am until 1pm. You can choose from a Saturday or a Wednesday. Everything you need will be provided while you are working in class. You will be provided with a manual with all the information you are learning and this is yours to keep. Cost is $400 pp. Please pm me for more details or to secure your place. I only take three students at a time so you all get the best learning experience so don't dawdle if you've been thinking of doing it.

These pieces are free to good home. They have been used by stained glass artists but are useful for everyone. The cabinet with the doors has a workbench that is approx 8OOmm x 1500 mm on top. The card/ magazine rack is approx 170 cm high. The other one is around 1m x 1m. The dust is also being thrown in for free.

Edit to say: cabinet and cube now have a home.

🐢💔 A Tortoise Spent 30 Years in a Living Room… and Barely Made It Out Alive
In Colombia, rescuers recently pulled a red-footed tortoise out of a home where it had been kept as an illegal pet for three decades — and the damage tells the whole story.
No sun.
No space.
No real food.
Just a lifetime of confinement that left its shell warped, its skin bleached, its muscles wasted, and its bones so fragile they began to break. 😔
The team at Valle de Aburrá’s Wildlife Care Center says they’ve already taken in 1,900+ tortoises this year alone — a number so shocking it reveals the true scale of the illegal wildlife trade.
And this species? It doesn’t even belong in that region. Every one taken from the wild is a life stolen from its proper world — a forest, a habitat, a whole ecosystem missing a piece. 🌿
To someone, this tortoise was “a pet.”
To the tortoise, it was a 30-year prison sentence.
If you love wildlife, protect it.
Don’t buy it.
Don’t cage it.
Don’t turn a living creature into décor.
Some animals are meant to roam free — not survive in the corner of a living room. 💛✨

If you've been waiting for stained glass classes to start again the time has come! Spring is here and and the warm weather calls for working in the studio. A 4 week course of classes, run on a weekday afternoon, will teach you everything you need to know, from designing patterns, all about different glasses, cutting the glass, use of all tools and products used. All glass, tools and other products required are provided for class at no extra cost for you to make your project. These classes are $350 for the four weeks and there is also a manual included which is yours to keep to work from at home. I also do follow up classes after these ones for continuing students to learn different techniques and harder projects.
