The design brief was to refresh our client's magnificent 1930s Tudor style home to create joyful and meaningful spaces that is a pleasure to spend time in.

We were inspired by the features of the traditional house such as the curved arches to the entry foyer, with colours selected to complement a bright red Aga stove and cherished painting in the lounge.

An earthy and rustic material palette comprising Terrazzo, timber veneer and ceramic mosaics were used for texture and warmth, drawing upon the clinker bricks and intricate details of the existing house.

Located within the exclusive Grace Park Estate, this c1920 Calfornian bungalow was sympathetically restored and renovated to sell.

Designs and materials draw upon unique features and shapes of the house such as the diamond lead lights and interior mouldings to blend classic with contemporary and appeal to a broad market.

Blairgowrie Gable Beach House

This luxury coastal residence is conceived as a retirement haven with a multi-generational vision in mind. Located a mere 500m from the ocean beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, it balances beauty, practicality and robustness.

Referencing the traditional vernacular of surrounding beach houses, the building comprises three linked gabled pavilions designed to withstand the harsh coastal environment and bushfire prone area.

So wonderful to see plants establishing into this residential dwelling completed in 2013. The house is located on a sloping site and presents as two level from the front. The balcony cantilevers over tall round columns, extending the living space towards the north facing view.

From the back, the house is single level. The building is nested into the site, connecting the upper level living rooms to the rear garden and garage.

Framing to the Living room and bedroom wings nearly complete. Had a good session with the builder, working through intricate details preparing for cladding, windows and roof. Making this project happen relies on teamwork!
