Got the call late one night.

Customer had lost power to half the house lights out in some rooms, others still running. Main breaker deformed

When we pulled the switchboard open, this is what we found. 👆
The main breaker had failed and the cable feeding it had burnt through at the connection point. One phase completely gone and the damage was getting worse by the minute.

Left untreated, this kind of fault doesn't just stay inconvenient. It becomes a fire risk.

We replaced the main breaker, repaired the damaged cable, tested everything properly and had them back on full power before the night was out.

No drama. Just sorted.

This is exactly why we answer the phone after hours. Because some things can't wait until Monday morning.

Customer called us out circuit kept tripping and they had no idea why.

We traced it back to this outdoor power point.
Exposed wires. No weatherproofing. Rust eating through the conduit entry. The whole lot packed with dirt and debris.

In Darwin's climate, this is a disaster waiting to happen. Moisture gets in, corrosion starts, insulation breaks down and next thing you've got a dead circuit, a tripped breaker, or worse.

This isn't the homeowner's fault. This is what happens when outdoor electrical work isn't done properly from the start or when it's been ignored for too long.

We got it sorted. Weatherproof enclosure. Proper cable protection. Job done right.

The team was out recently helping our mates at NT Blinds wire up a motorised shutter for a front door and let's just say the job site had one of the better views in Darwin.

This is what we love about the work no two days are the same, and sometimes you end up on a waterfront property with Darwin Harbour sitting right behind the ute.

The shutter install was clean and straightforward. Power sorted, motor wired, customer stoked.

Turns out the most valuable person on site today wasn't the electrician OR the plumber.
It was this little legend right here. 👇
While the boys at Hally's Plumbing & Gas were out here digging trenches in the Darwin dirt, our on-site electrical supervisor showed up to make sure the job was done properly.
Watching closely and pointing her finger. Zero tolerance for sloppy trench work.
She hasn't passed her licence yet but honestly, her site supervision skills are better than most I've seen. 😂
Shoutout to the crew at Hallys for being good sports and letting Neptune's quality control team do their thing.
