🌿I recently booked my daughter in for a routine blood test nothing urgent, just a general check in. When I called the clinic, I was asked why she hadn’t been there in over a year.
I answered she hasn’t needed to. She’s been healthy.
I was then told that to “keep our spot,” we need to be a regular patient.
It really made me pause.
When did not being sick become a problem?
When did consistent health become something that needs explaining?
We’re living in a time where illness is so common it’s almost expected fatigue, gut issues, anxiety, poor sleep, low immunity. So many people feel unwell and assume it’s just normal.
Yet so much of modern life works against our wellbeing:
Ultra processed foods
Chronic stress
Environmental toxins
Sleep deprivation
Sedentary routines
Constant stimulation
Modern medicine is extraordinary and essential in acute and emergency care but so much of the system is centred around managing disease rather than fostering true vitality.
And yes… there is profit in sickness.
Preventative health, however, is built quietly and consistently through lifestyle, nourishment, nervous system support, and addressing root causes.
In our home, we don’t wait for illness to take action we support the body daily so it can function the way it’s designed to.
Grateful for the reminder that health is something we actively create.🌿🌿

🌿I’ve been a little quiet here lately, deep in study and learning with becoming a naturopath.
The garden has continued to grow slowly, even without the care it deserves, and it’s been a reminder of how much balance and regulation comes from staying connected to the earth. When I’m not spending time in the garden, I feel that absence in my body and nervous system.

Baby picked these pineapples a little early 🤍 hoping they still ripen they’re a sweet reminder that growth happens in its own time.
I’m really looking forward to returning to the garden through the cooler months, working with the seasons again. I can’t wait for this space to grow as well, to support healing, learning, and growth alongside others, much like my gardens 🌱

What sets a naturopath apart?
It begins with the art of deep listening.
When you sit with a naturopath, we’re not just hearing symptoms we’re taking in your whole story. Your tone, your posture, your highs, your lows, the things you share openly and the things that come through between the lines. Your body communicates in so many ways, and our role is to notice all of it.
Naturopathy understands that the body is an interconnected system.
A digestive issue may be influenced by stress.
Low mood can spill into physical tension.
Fatigue might relate to lifestyle patterns, nourishment, emotional load, or multiple subtle imbalances working together.
We step back and look at how everything interacts because no part of your health exists on its own.
Alongside this holistic approach, we offer natural and alternative therapies designed to support the body’s own healing processes. Rather than relying on pharmaceutical pathways, we work with gentle, non-invasive options that help guide your system back toward balance and resilience.
This is also why our sessions are intentionally longer usually 90–120 minutes.
We take time to explore your history, your lifestyle, your emotional landscape, your physical patterns, and the unique ways your body responds to the world around you. Gathering this depth of information allows us to look for the root contributors to what you’re experiencing, not just the surface discomfort.
And just to be clear this isn’t about replacing or criticising GPs.
GPs offer essential, life saving medical care.
We simply provide a different style of support, one that focuses on the full picture of your wellbeing🌸

Nature’s Medicine in Red Foods 🍅🌶🍒
Red fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, capsicum, and cherries are rich in lycopene, a potent antioxidant that supports cardiovascular health and offers protective benefits against certain cancers.⁣
⁣
Vibrant red foods nourish the heart and circulatory system, reduce oxidative stress, and help balance inflammation aligning beautifully with the body’s innate healing ability.⁣
⁣
A colourful plate is a healing plate. Let food be your medicine.⁣

The More I Learn, The More I Can’t Unlearn
I’ve always known organic (and if possible, biodynamic) food was the better choice… but the deeper I go in my studies, the more I realise just how crucial it really is.
The harm that conventional produce and meat is slowly doing to our health is massive. The chemicals, pesticides, toxins were consuming them daily, and it’s scary.
We think we’re eating “healthy” because we’re eating veggies and meat… but what’s being sprayed on those veggies? What was that animal fed? What kind of soil did those crops grow in?
Nutrient deficiencies, chronic illness, fatigue these aren’t just random. Our food is supposed to nourish us, but if the soil is dead, the plants are empty. If the animal was sick or pumped with hormones, how can it make us well?
I get it organic can be more expensive. But even switching a few things can make a difference:
🌱 Buy the most heavily sprayed produce organic (like berries, leafy greens, etc.)
🥩 Choose grass-fed and finished meat
🐟 Pick wild caught fish over farmed
🌾 Support farms that feed the soil, not just the crop
These choices, even in small steps, add up. And they matter.

🍇 The Power of Purple!
Ever wonder what gives fruits and veggies like blueberries, red cabbage, and eggplant their deep, vibrant color? It’s all thanks to anthocyanins powerful plant pigments that belong to a group of compounds called polyphenols, known for their strong antioxidant properties.

These natural compounds don’t just make your food look good they help protect your cells from damage that can lead to cancer, stroke, and heart disease.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to take you down a colorful path through the rainbow of foods exploring what each hue means and the unique health benefits they bring. 🥦🍊🍓
So next time you load up your plate, think purple your body will thank you! 🫐🍆

Bone marrow is one of our favourite foods not only is it absolutely delicious, but it’s also packed with nutrients and health benefits!
It was actually my littlest one’s very first food and he still loves it to this day 🤎
If you’re not a fan of the texture or flavour, you can easily add it to meals! I love mixing it into puréed veggies for that extra nutritional boost 🥄🌱

Healing Naturally: Trust Your Body 🌿
Not too long ago, I would’ve rushed for prescription meds the moment my littlest one got sick. But now we trusted his body and gave it what it needed to heal naturally .
Yes, it took a little longer. But what we gained was far greater: a stronger immune system, no gut disrupting side effects, and the reassurance that his little body did exactly what it was designed to do. 🙌🏼
We used:
✨ Fire cider
✨ Homeopathic remedies
✨ Bone broth + nourishing food
✨ Foraged powder
✨ Plenty of fluids + rest
One important reminder: fever is not the enemy. It’s actually our body’s natural healing response raising the temperature to fight off infection. Suppressing that with painkillers can interfere with the healing process. Unless it’s dangerously high or persistent, a fever can be supported, not feared.
No quick fixes. No symptom suppressing meds. Just patience, trust, and support.
I get it we live in a fast paced world where time is limited and relief is just a pill away. But the long term cost of constantly shutting down symptoms with over the counter drugs? Often not worth it.
Next time you’re feeling crook, pause.
Can you support your body instead of silencing it?
It knows how to heal we just need to let it. 🌱
