We are deeply honored by the overwhelming support and positive responses following the announcement of our receipt of the “Commendation Award” in the open architectural design competition for the “Ten-Storied Academic Building at Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC), Mohammadpur”, organized by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB).

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) for organizing this distinguished competition with such professionalism and vision, and to the Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC) authority— a true beacon of academic excellence and heritage in Bangladesh, shaping generations since its establishment in 1960.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
The design weaves nature into the built environment through indoor courtyards, vertical greenery, green terraces, planted balconies, and rooftop gardens, creating a strong visual and environmental connection with the outdoors. Distributed greenery across multiple levels improves air quality, thermal comfort, and user well-being while reinforcing sustainability. Staggered massing supports passive solar control, self-shading, natural ventilation, and daylight pe*******on through light courts and atriums. Together, these strategies transform the ten-storied building into a living, experiential environment that nurtures learning, community, and a deeper connection to the city.
