This is just a reminder as to why we need to deal with the dying ash trees sooner than later because there really is a certain amount of time before these trees become unsafe to climb when equipment ( lifts ) arent an option. This tree was splitting while standing!

I know I don’t post pictures as often as I would like, but when we are in the middle of the job, we are so task and safety oriented we usually don’t take our phones out!

This job the customer had a 80 foot hickory and 60 foot basswood a little too close to his house and when the wind blew it made him feel uncomfortable. Sometimes it’s worth the investment so that you can sleep peacefully at night!

Here are a few pictures of a before and after of a job this afternoon. Going to try to be better at posting more pictures of the jobs 🙂

The client here was concerned about limbs eventually falling onto his shop and wanted to be pro active since the he was going to replace his tempo.

We offer a veriety of options in terms of services; Trims, removals, full clean up, or just take the trees down and make safe, even cut the body wood into 16”if desired. This sometimes helps meet our clients budget and needs!

With the storm that we have just endured, many of you will have to do some yard clean up taking away or cutting those downed trees or broken limbs. it is important to remember that the wood fibres can react differently because of the compression and tension that’s created when trees get twisted up during a wind storm. This Increases the chance of kick back and pinch points. If you don’t feel comfortable cutting the trees up, or just don’t want to deal with the mess please feel free to call, we are available for storm clean up, cutting and chipping or climbing any of those hard to reach trees you would like to have removed or just taken care of.

The emerald ash borer has devastated the white ash population in our area.
First signs of an infected tree is smaller leafs and the top of the tree (crown) starts to die back. Also you will notice light colored marking on the bark with small D shaped exit holes from the beetle.

Something to keep in mind if you have any dying ash trees on your property, is that you should consider removal sooner than later to ensure it can be done safely and in a controlled manner.

Now is the time of year where white elm trees start to show die back from the infection of Dutch elm disease.
This tree in the middle of the cluster of ash trees will be completely dead next year if left alone. Unfortunately there aren’t many options for treatment when they are infected however, removing a large section of the section that is infected can sometimes stop the spread of the disease!!
