This thriving plant is soothing to the eyes.
Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
Golden pothos is one of the most popular houseplants in the world—and for good reason. It’s tough, adaptable, and beautiful, with heart-shaped green leaves splashed with golden-yellow variegation. It can trail from hanging baskets, climb poles, or cascade from shelves, making it perfect for almost any space.
It’s often called Devil’s Ivy because it stays green and keeps growing even in less-than-ideal conditions.

How to Care for Golden Pothos
🌞 Light
• Prefers bright, indirect light
• Tolerates low light, but growth slows and variegation may fade
• Avoid harsh direct sun—it can scorch the leaves
💧 Water
• Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry
• Likes evenly moist soil, but hates soggy roots
• Overwatering is the #1 cause of problems (yellow leaves, root rot)
🌱 Soil
• Use a well-draining potting mix
• A standard indoor plant mix works great
• Make sure the pot has drainage holes
🌡 Temperature & Humidity
• Thrives in 18–30°C (65–85°F)
• Average household humidity is fine
• Enjoys higher humidity but doesn’t require it
🌿 Fertilizer
• Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer
• Use a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer
• No need to fertilize in fall and winter
✂️ Pruning & Growth
• Prune to keep it bushy or control length
• Trim just above a leaf node
• Cuttings root easily in water or soil—great for propagation!
🐾 Toxicity
• Toxic to pets and humans if ingested
• Keep away from cats, dogs, and small children
