Anisa Cascade Cymbidium $60. Pick up south of Barrhead. Can deliver to Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Edmonton, St Albert. Monthly trips between Edmonton and Saskatoon (highway 16) can arrange delivery.
This orchid loves bright, indirect light where the light can get to its bulbs. It can tolerate up to 30 degree C and if exposed to 10 to 15 degree C in the fall, it will give you beautiful blooms for up to 12 weeks. Very easy orchid to take care of making it a great starter orchid to add to your home.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion (or Sugar) sleeps tonight…. She loves this spot, when the morning sun shines on the rug. Who can blame her for enjoying such a lovely spot? 🙂. Old rocking chair I was lucky to find at de Herdt’s Greenhouse in Barrhead, a great place to visit. The quilt was handmade for me by my mom, Sylvia Speaks.

Creating pots or arrangements are a lot of fun. Keep your orchids in individual pots, makes it much easier for watering purposes, or swapping out plants that are no longer in bloom with ones that are. Also, create your arrangements with orchids that appreciate the same elements, such as moisture, humidity, temperature and light requirements will increase your success.
