Thank you all for supporting my new page. I have been painting since my teenage years and was apprenticed as a young man under a "Master Painter."
Before I was even allowed to touch a paint brush I was taught how important preparation is to a professional finish.
There are many things to do before you start painting:
Move and cover furniture as required
Remove and protect all art work and other items from walls
Cover affected floor areas
Mask off areas as necessary that you don't want painted
Remove all switch and outlet covers
Set up a work space for tools and paint.
Then begins the repair work on all surfaces including: patching, plastering, sanding, sealing, caulking, priming, and cleaning.
Painting is finally begun when the surfaces are clean, and as smooth as possible. The room itself must be as clean and dust free as possible to ensure an excellent finish.
Contact me if you are ready for a refresh of your home or for any of your house painting needs, no job to small!
