Spring clean up is an annual event but WE MUST resist the urge to clean up our gardens and yards until temperatures are consistently above 10°C or 50°F. Many butterflies, pollinators and other beneficial insects spend their winter in our dead leaves and hollowed out stems of last year’s plants. It is VERY important not to disturb them too early in the season or they will not survive!
