Right before Christmas, we had the opportunity to tackle a unique project: replacing two standard lift garage doors with high-lift doors.

What’s the difference, you ask? Standard lift doors operate with tracks that curve immediately at the header, great for most applications. High-lift doors, however, take things a step further—literally! They’re designed to lift higher along the wall before curving, maximizing overhead space. This upgrade is perfect for clients needing more vertical clearance.

The transformation was seamless, and the result? A functional, space-efficient solution ready to meet our client’s needs well into the new year.

Wrapped up a solid job for a residential client today—just me and the tools getting it done!

Two garage doors got a bit of a makeover:
• Door 1: New spring, cables, bottom brackets, weather seal, bearing, and two 2” rollers. Plus, installed a keypad for easy access.
• Door 2: Adjusted the tension, swapped cables, changed a couple of 2” rollers, new weather seal, and upgraded the operator.

Finished up with a full clean—left the space looking spotless, just like I was never there. Another day, another door running like new! If your garage door needs some love, Hero Door’s got you covered!
