Last Call for Sod!

We are anticipating the last day for harvesting sod will be this coming weekend. If you require any sod into next week (Nov 12th and beyond) please contact us at the Sales Center (403) 262-5600 or email [email protected].
We will harvest the sod you require as late as possible, and store outside until delivery/pick-up is needed. Fortunately, in the cooler temperatures, sod will last indefinitely. Please note, orders will be final and invoiced at time of booking.

Our sod is cut fresh each day to order and it’s essential that sod is laid and watered ASAP, especially during the warmer summer months, but there are some practical ways to keep your sod cool upon delivery.
1. Break-down the pallet.
If the sod is not being laid immediately, breaking down the pallet can help to combat heat damage. Allow air to flow around the rolls in your shady drop location.
2. Be prepared
Before the sod arrives, have your laying area prepped and put some thought into where you will have it dropped. The sun heats up sod a lot, so keeping it out of direct sunlight is essential.
3. Don’t water the sod while it’s rolled up.
Watering rolled up sod will actually accelerate the heating process. The grass continues to grow after it has been cut into rolls, and this growth releases nitrogen, which heats the sod further.
4. Install sod immediately and WATER WATER WATER!
Sod should be installed as quickly as possible after delivery and watering should start immediately.
