Just in from - a restock of some popular styles and so many new ones too! They make a perfect teacher’s gift, actually a gift for anyone with so many themes to choose from. A Canadian company and quality made in Italy. They wear so well and are super comfortable.

Let’s also address the fact that I accidentally incorrectly pluralized the word goose. 🙈

Let the indulgence begin…they are so good it is ridiculous so get them before they are gone although we might just have to order more then. 😋

This weekend we headed over to the ACI warehouse at the airport to pick up some very special cargo!

is one of our most beloved Portuguese brands and the process of getting these gorgeous pieces here is not an easy one.

From the selection through online catalogues although we have seen, own and carried enough pieces in the store to feel comfortable and assured of its quality, to then waiting for the pieces to be made, that alone is a lengthy process. Then we have to deal with directly and arrange for a shipping company in Portugal to pick up our order and fly it over here, get it cleared by our customs broker and then head over for pick up.

Until those boxes are unloaded at the store and these exquisite hand made and painted pieces are quickly checked for damage, we don’t rest easy.

We are one of only two stores to carry their products in Canada and it is quickly becoming a customer favourite.

We can’t wait to get these out on the floor and to our customers that have already pre-ordered/purchased their favourite pieces.

These are the antithesis of mass production which is why we adore Duro Ceramics! Ceramics that make every day living beautiful.

Pop by tomorrow or Saturday to view Three Blind Cats, paintings by Richard B. Stoltz, III, an artist residing in Chicago, Illinois but with family connections right here in Cannington.

His paintings are primarily in a folk art style using oil on canvas with bold unmixed colours. Subjects range from abstract explorations of colour to people, pets, food and ideas that are importantly to him.

Artist reception will be tomorrow, Friday the 15th at 3 pm and his art is available for purchase.
