First snips of the season ✨
Just a small bunch, but I’m going to enjoy these on my desk today. The stock smells absolutely divine, and I can’t wait to watch that peony open up.
It finally feels like flower season is here. 🌸
And good news—peonies will be available soon!

Happy Friday! Bouquets like this are getting closer every day. The plants are thriving, the garden is slowly filling up, and flower season is right around the corner. I can’t wait to be back creating beautiful bouquets again—because flowers make people happy 🌸

Progress has been made! We’re about 30% planted and finally starting to feel like we’re gaining some momentum. Every plant is officially out of the basement and spending its first night outside. At this point, it’s survival of the fittest—I need to get these babies in the ground!
There definitely won’t be a shortage of flowers this summer. I planted with my heart instead of playing the numbers game, and wow... there are a lot of plants. I seriously underestimated how much space everything would take. The area that was supposed to be our pumpkin patch is about to become new flower rows, and I guess we’ll have to find a new home for the pumpkins.
Honestly, it’s a pretty great problem to have.
There’s still a long to-do list ahead, but I’m already daydreaming about what this space will look like in a few months when everything is blooming. 🌱✨🌸

A little snapshot of market prep chaos 🌸
Markets were one of my absolute favourite parts of last season, and I can’t wait to get back at it this year! There’s something so special about meeting new people, chatting flowers, and seeing bouquets head off to new homes.
You can find me at the market in Oakbank this season—and maybe a few other markets too. 😉 Stay tuned! These days are right around the corner!

In true May Long fashion, the weather was miserable and half the family was sick… but we officially have our first full row planted 🙌
I finished planting the stock just as the rain started, and I’m very happy to cross this one off the to-do list. Next up - sweet peas and campanula!

Today’s bouquet is feeling a little moody… and honestly, same. This wind storm has us all hanging on by a thread over here 🌬️😅
This week’s feature is full of rich tones, texture, and all the drama in the best way. Swipe to see what she’s made of! 🖤

Want to buy our flowers? Here’s everything you need to know! 🌸

The Flower Shed is our one-stop shop for grab-and-go bouquets. Conveniently located right on Highway 212 (Cooks Creek Road), about half a mile north of Highway 44. Open throughout the growing season, with updates posted to stories so you’ll always know when The Shed is stocked.

Come find me at The Soul Sisters Market in Oakbank on Thursday evenings! This wonderful market is held in the parking lot of The Peppercorn Restaurant every Thursday in July and August from 4–8 PM. Stop by for a bouquet and browse all the incredible local makers — there’s truly something special around every corner. Check them out for more info.

Custom bouquets are available throughout the growing season and are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because. I’ll work within your budget and colour palette to create something beautiful and one of a kind.

Feeling creative? Order a bucket of flowers! A DIYer’s dream come true — perfect for creating your own bouquets or centrepieces with locally grown blooms, without the commitment of growing them yourself.

And for the true flower lovers,🌼The Flower Club🌼
Our bouquet subscription is the best way to enjoy the season’s freshest blooms all summer long. With weekly and biweekly options available, there’s a subscription for everyone.

Whether you’re stopping by The Flower Shed, visiting the market, or treating yourself to a subscription, I can’t wait to share this season’s flowers with you 💛

Left town for the weekend and I swear the seedlings doubled in size while we were gone! We’re seeing our very first blooms of 2026 - Sizzle Frizzle pansies, and the stock is starting to bud up too! I’m hoping to get it planted out later this week along with the other cool flowers that have already been hardened off.

Things are really starting to ramp up around here, and I can already picture the garden a few months from now - full, colourful, and overflowing with flowers 💚
