Today is the 80th anniversary of the D-day landings in Normandy France. I was fortunate this past April to visit France and remember the sacrifices of so many young men that day. I was surprised by the emotions I felt as I stood on Juno and Omaha beaches with my daughter Cindy McWade and her fiancée Christopher Charles. It was a day as well that I finally got to visit the grave of my uncle Robert McNichol who gave his life in August 1944 so the rest of us could be free. Please take some time today and remember the sacrifices of so many young men that day.
