🌱 A New Chapter Begins for Blueberry River First Nations 🌱
We are proud to announce that Chief and Council have officially approved the Native Plant Orchard Project on the lands formerly known as Chambers Land.
This is a BRFN-led project that represents a long-term investment in our Nation, our lands, and future generations. The Native Plant Orchard will help provide locally adapted native seeds and plants to support restoration work across Treaty 8 Territory while creating opportunities for BRFN members through employment, training, and community involvement.
🚜 Groundwork has now BEGUN.
Community members may notice workers on site in the coming weeks as preliminary site preparation and development activities get underway.
This project is about more than plants—it is about:
✅ Creates jobs, training, and growth for BRFN members and future generations.
✅ Is a long-term investment in restoring the land from the ground up.
✅ Provides locally adapted native seeds and plants to support restoration, cultural stewardship, and future opportunities.
We thank Chief and Council for their support and vision in moving this important BRFN project forward.
📅 Join us as we celebrate this milestone at the Native Plant Orchard Groundbreaking Ceremony on July 7th. More details will be shared soon.
Locally Rooted. Future Focused. For Future Generations. 💚
