After much thought and reflection, we have made the difficult decision to sell our home. With that, Hosta Heaven will be closing its doors.

What started as a love for hostas grew into something so much more — friendships, laughter, garden chats, open houses, and a community of the most wonderful, loyal customers anyone could ever hope for.

For the past 8 years, it has truly been an honour to share this journey with you. Whether you purchased one plant or filled your gardens with our varieties, supported our posts, visited during open house days, or simply cheered us on — you have meant the world to us.

Hosta Heaven was never just about plants. It was about connection, beauty, and the joy of watching something grow.

We are deeply grateful for your support, your kindness, and your trust over the years. You helped make this little dream something incredibly special.

As we prepare for this next chapter, we carry with us so many beautiful memories — and we hope our hostas continue to thrive in your gardens for many years to come.

We also bring with us a few of our most favourite and unique hostas so we have not left them all behind

🌿 Our Garden Paradise is For Sale 🌿

After years of love and dedication, we’ve decided to sell our beautiful home — a true gardener’s dream. If you’ve ever wanted to own your very own park, this is it! The property is fully landscaped with thousands of hostas (over 400 varieties!) and hundreds of blooming daylilies — a peaceful, private oasis unlike any other.

We’re sad to say goodbye, but it’s time for us to start a new chapter and begin travelling. 💚

Last month we finally tried something we’ve been meaning to for ages — Hosta shoots! And let me tell you… they were absolutely delicious. 😍

Sautéed in a bit of butter with just salt, pepper, and a grated clove of garlic added at the very end — cooked for less than two minutes. That’s all it took to turn these spring shoots into a savoury little snack!

If you grow hostas, give this a try — they’re not just very beautiful, they’re edible to!

Next is to try the hosta flower jelly🌱

We’re so excited to welcome you back for our opening weekend at Hosta Heaven – even if Mother Nature has other plans! ☔ Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered – literally! All of our potted hostas are set up indoors, so you can browse without standing in the rain.

💚 Every potted hosta is just $10 – CASH ONLY!
🌱 Over 50 varieties available – but remember, once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Please note: We won’t be digging any hostas this weekend. It’s been a cold wet spring and our garden plants are taking their sweet time waking up. Digging will resume in a few weeks once things perk up!

To kick things off, we’re having a HUGE opening sale on all our pre-potted hostas — just $10 per pot while quantities last!

🌿✨ Hosta Jelly Recipe – A Garden Treat in a Jar! ✨🌿

When you have tons of hosta blooms and you want something great to do with them, here’s a delicious recipe to try!

If you love peony or violet jelly, you're going to adore this one-of-a-kind Hosta Jelly! Lightly herbal with a gorgeous hue (especially if you use purple-streaked hostas), it’s a beautiful way to preserve a bit of your garden’s charm. 💜

🧪 Ingredients:

2 cups hosta blossoms or young leaves (purple ones give the best color!)

2 cups boiling water

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 package (57g) powdered pectin (like Certo)

2.5 cups sugar

👩‍🍳 Steps:

Pour boiling water over cleaned blossoms/leaves. Steep in fridge 12–24 hours.

Strain out the plant material using a fine sieve or cheesecloth.

In a pot, mix the infusion with lemon juice and pectin. Bring to a rolling boil.

Add sugar, boil for 1–2 more minutes.

Pour into sterilized jars, seal, and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.

🫙 Shelf-stable for up to a year! Refrigerate after opening.
