We have a vision to change the prevailing perception that a green lawn is necessary and desirable. We believe strongly that the maintenance a lawn requires is both wasteful and polluting, and like to encourage people to grow more gardens and less grass. A properly planned garden will follow the patterns of nature already established, retain rainwater, attract a variety of wildlife in a balanced ec

osystem, and help to filter the air we breathe. As well, the same garden can be designed to meet the specific needs and enjoyment of the homeowner, filled with a mass of colour, subtle fragrance, and bird song. For each individual client, we aim to create and maintain a garden retreat that is both naturally functional and aesthetically pleasing. We have a specific interest in edible gardening, which we believe is a good practical step towards reconnecting with the land and knowing where our food comes from. Finally, we enjoy what we do. We use hand tools only, powered by our love of gardening. We do not use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers as they are not conducive to a functioning ecosystem, and we truly value the health and well-being of all living things.
