Spring has started! Two little removal before and afters.

First one was an old Cedar hedge that while still healthy, had just grown too large to reduce and remain healthy, and was just too much for the owner to keep up on. The owners gained an extra eight feet of property at the same time. While we always want to keep our trees and hedges, sometimes it's necessary to remove some to bring new life into your property.

Second one was a mature Manitoba Maple that was beginning to weigh over onto the deck and living space. While also healthy, there was a large lean to the trunk and in a few years it would start to become problematic. But don't worry, the rest of the yard was loaded with trees 😉

We worked a job a few weeks ago that involved four giant mature Oak trees. Due to the introduction of Oak Wilt into Ontario we had to delay this job until November to keep the trees safe, but it meant for great views and beautiful weather.
I also took it as the job to learn a new climbing system which allows for far easier access into large trees.
It ended up being a super fun job!

Time-lapse of a pretty sketchy Silver Maple removal. The phone died right before the end but we got 'er done.
A lot of time in the tree with a bag saw too. Definitely felt out of shape lol
