🎉 One Year in Business!

DHRR has officially reached its first anniversary, and looking back, it’s been a year filled with steady growth, new challenges, and a lot of hands‑on learning. Building this business from the ground up has pushed me to refine my craft, adapt on the fly, and occasionally laugh at the unexpected lessons that only show up when you’re knee‑deep in a project. Every job, big or small, has helped shape a stronger, more capable version of the business I set out to create.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support, referrals, and encouragement from everyone who’s been part of this journey(especially my family!) Whether you trusted me with your home, shared my name with a friend, or simply followed along, it all made a difference. Here’s to the first year in the books, the lessons learned, and the many more projects, ideas, and adventures still ahead.

A quick replacement with a new outlet solved the issue and left one very relieved homeowner.

A good reminder to check the outlets you use most often — they work hard and can wear out over time.

Home project! 🔨

I was given this beautiful Mennonite-built table from a friend who was moving (and sad to be letting it go!). It’s seen some love over the years from more than one family, so I decided to see what the wood looked like underneath.

After some wood filler, several sanding passes, and some stain, the table finally got a second life. What looked dark and tired turned into clean, bright grain with a warm finish that really shows off the craftsmanship. Hard to believe it's the same table!

Just have to add a finish and it'll be ready to be kid-tested! 😅

Gave a few rooms a fresh coat of paint this week, swapping out old colors for brighter tones and bold feature walls. It’s always amazing how much paint alone can completely change the vibe of a space! Painting the ceilings this week as well to complete the rooms.

I also tackled a couple ceiling drywall repairs — patched, blended (still needs a sand and some paint!) so you’d never know there were holes there. Feels great leaving things looking seamless.

I had a customer contact me to replace their front door window that had a broken blind. Really enjoyed this job, fairly easy and looks great!
